About This Course
Every company has a compliance program on paper — a code of conduct, a policy manual, a reporting line, a training calendar. And every company actually runs on a second, unwritten program: what its managers do. What a manager rewards, the team repeats. What a manager signs without reading, the team learns to prepare carelessly. This course teaches the second program: compliance as the working discipline of the person who supervises others. You will learn to map the standards that actually govern your team; to keep your own hands clean where managers get dirty — conflicts of interest, gifts and favors, confidences, approvals, promises beyond your authority; to run the daily acts of management on consistent, documented, defensible grounds; to meet your conduct duties on respect, safety, privacy, and money without pretending to be a lawyer, an investigator, or a safety engineer; and to receive concerns promptly, protectively, and up the chain to the people whose job the next step is. You will know which ones are yours, where they live, and what to do in the first ten minutes when one of them is tested.
