About This Course
Most engagement talk happens one level too high. Leaders discuss scores, programs, and campaigns, while engagement itself is being decided somewhere else entirely — in the daily experience of a person whose manager assigned unclear work on Monday, let an impossible load sit unspoken through Wednesday, and did not notice on Friday that the person had quietly stopped caring in the way that used to make their work good. This course works at that level: the frontline and middle manager, the level at which engagement is actually created or destroyed day to day. You will learn to see engagement in observable terms — what an engaged and a disengaging person actually do, say, and stop doing — and to trace what you see back to the conditions you partly control: whether the work is clear, whether the load is honest, whether the work is sized to a human, whether people have a voice in how their work is done, and whether you notice early enough to ask.
