Fraud Awareness: Spotting & Reporting Red Flags
Instructor: Cognosco Learning · Duration: Full Day · In-Person
One-day, in-person course — $595 per person · 3–4 seats save 10% · 5+ seats save 20%

About This Course
Most workplace fraud is not discovered by auditors descending from above. It surfaces, when it surfaces, because someone at an ordinary desk noticed something ordinary that did not line up — an invoice for work nobody remembers, a refund with no customer behind it, a count that is always adjusted and never explained — and said something through the proper channel instead of explaining it away. This course trains that someone. Then you will learn the harder half: what to do with what you saw. How to preserve it without investigating it. How to report it through the designated channel — including when the concern points at someone senior, someone liked, or your own manager. How to keep your own hands clean of the small dishonesties that rehearse the big ones. And how to live correctly after you have reported, in the silence that follows, without scorekeeping, gossip, or second thoughts performed in public. By the end of this program, you will have a complete, disciplined way of being the employee every honest workplace depends on: clear-eyed, careful with other people's reputations, and impossible to make look away.
What You'll Learn
- Recognize fraud in plain terms, and explain why ordinary, trusted workplaces are vulnerable to it
- Spot red flags in money out, money in, goods, time, records, and relationships — as patterns that justify reporting, never as proof that justifies accusing
- Preserve what came to you in your work and report it through the designated channel — including when the concern points upward
- Keep your own hands clean, protect the process after you report, and — for managers — receive reports without contaminating them
