About This Course

This course teaches the leadership of that team: how to be present on the floor in a way that helps, how to pass the whole picture at every handoff, how to run a huddle worth stopping for, how to hold one standard of respect across every role and license, how to schedule honestly and lead a short-staffed shift without pretending, how to make speaking up normal and being spoken to safe, how to stand with a team after a bad outcome without prejudging the review that must follow, and how to grow the charge nurses and preceptors the team will need next. By the end of this program, you will have a complete, written standard for leading a healthcare team — built from the floor up, in language you can actually use on the next shift.
