About This Course
Most onboarding fails quietly, and it fails early — not with a dramatic resignation, but with a newcomer who spends the first week waiting for a login, a clear task, and a straight answer about what good work looks like here, and who learns instead that nobody had thought about their arrival until they arrived. The cost of that lesson is paid for months. This course teaches the other way: onboarding designed as a full ninety days, planned before day one and run by named people with distinct jobs. You will learn how to clarify the role before the newcomer starts, build a first day around belonging and clarity, put the role and its expectations in writing, choose and brief a buddy whose job is different from the manager's, give the first week real work that can actually be finished, and hold the manager's early conversations at set intervals rather than by accident. You will learn to give feedback early and specifically, to diagnose a struggling newcomer honestly before judging them, to build belonging in the real team and its informal life, to hold a mid-point review with no surprises in it, and to make the ninety-day decision a genuine two-way decision that both sides own. By the end of this program, you will have a complete, honest way of starting people: the truth told from the first conversation, the days designed on purpose, and a review at the end that contains nothing the newcomer has not already heard.
