About This Course
Most recognition fails before the words are chosen — in the days before, when the manager's attention was somewhere else and the good work happened unobserved, unrecorded, and in the end unmentioned. This course teaches the other kind: recognition built on noticed work. You will learn to run your attention like an instrument — to see the specific act, the standard it met, and the effect it had — and to say it precisely, close to the work, in the form the person in front of you can actually take in. You will learn to find the quiet and backstage work that never announces itself, to recognize effort honestly when the outcome failed, and to hold the line that keeps recognition worth anything at all: it must be true, it must be fair over time, and it must never be spent as a substitute for fair pay, a fair workload, or a hard conversation owed.
