About This Course
Most stores do not fail in the big moments. They drift in the ordinary ones — the leader in the office while the floor thins out, the Saturday planned like a Tuesday, the new hire shadowing nobody in particular, the standard everybody can recite and nobody has seen kept lately. This course teaches the other way of running a store: from the floor. You will learn to place yourself where the work and the customers actually are, plan the day around the rhythm customers bring with them, and hold standards a customer could see kept. You will learn to run a five-minute huddle that is honest, schedule a part-time workforce fairly, and put people at the stations where their strengths do the most good. By the end of this program, you will have a complete, practical way of leading a store — visible, fair, and honest — and a written retail standard of your own to run it by.
