About This Course
Good people rarely leave suddenly. They leave gradually, in a sequence of small, readable moments — a growth conversation postponed three times, a workload that became unreasonable and stayed that way, a decision that landed unfairly and was never explained, a future they could no longer picture inside the organization — and then, one day, they resign, and the manager is surprised. This course teaches the other way of managing: retention as a standing conversation. You will learn what each of your best people is building toward, how to hold a stay conversation while things are good, how to treat workload and fairness as the retention facts they are, and how to read early signals without spying or panicking. You will learn what to do when a valued person is interviewing, how to run an honest inventory of what can and cannot change, how to examine a counteroffer without theater, and how to conduct a resignation conversation — and the team conversation after it — with grace. By the end of this program, you will have a complete, honest way of keeping people: earn the staying every week, tell the truth about what you can change, and never once try to keep a person by making it harder for them to leave honestly.
